31. Virtual Cameraman 1.
I’m in love with the girl in the pink dress. Juri Anna. Sigh… I can one credit this game and that’s why it’s here. Anyway, where would a 3DO Top 50 list be without some smut? It’s a test of skill, it really is, to beat the game easily you have to watch her eyes and snap the picture after she blinked. That’s actually harder than it sounds with so many other things to look at.
32. Burning Soldier.
Put aside your doubting hearts and minds and remember that gaming is supposed to be fun. And indeed, Burning Soldier is fun. Top down FMV overlaid with sprites shooting for the gaming win.
33. Corpse Killer.
If the maker of ‘It came from the desert’ came to you and said, “I want to make a B-rated horror movie, I have a set, a location, the script writer from Chucky and some Hollywood stars…” What would you say? Me? I’d say make it Interactive and make it for the 3DO.
34. The Tower.
It’s a slice of Japanese skyscrapers in a game. It’s like Sim-Sky-Scraper It’s very good. No need to speak Japanese or read Kanji, with only a little trial and error The Tower is self explanatory. Build a tower, encourage people to move in for work, to live or for pleasure and expand your building. Enjoy.
35. Immercenary
This maybe here for nostalgic reasons. It takes forever to crack into the 3D World of Immercenary. If I restarted once, I restarted this game two-dozen times. However, hand heart, once I’d beaten this 90s hacker cliché of a game – I was glad I did. It’s an RPG and it’s quite immersive – so much so that I had forgotten how bad the graphics were and remember the thrill of beating it – so it can’t be all bad eh?
36. Killing Time.
I’m going to get shot for this. Voted, by my peers at the 3DO Zero forum, as the best FPS for the 3DO. The graphics are excellent. The sound is worthy of listening to in its own rights. Story, depth and atmosphere. It’s got it all – including a First person shooter perspective – which I can’t abide. Hey – it’s the 3DO Kid top 50. Go make your own list! But even I recognise it’s pretty good – well actually – very good. There – I’ve said. What more do you want? Eh? Move along.
37. Iron Angle of The Apocalypse: The return.
Most FPS’ on the 3DO have you running down endless poorly textured jerkily animated grey tunnels. Which accurately describes Iron Angle of The Apocalypse: The return. Still, there is a je-ne-se-qua about this game that kept even me, me, The 3DO Kid, long time hater of Doom, hooked. There must be something in it.
38. Microcosm
What ever the relationship between the introduction and the main game is – will someone please email me. Still – killing is fun. Shoot ‘em ups are fun. Many people dwelt on the interactivity. The lack of freedom. The linear nature of the game, the fact it wasn’t true 3D, just sprites overlaid on to a pre-rendered background – and there is no opportunity to explore. To them I say “It’s a shoot’em up. Shoot things to receive points. And at that, it’s not to bad. It’s good to have for nostalgic reasons too.
39. Pyramid Intruder
More sprites overlaid over gorgeous back drops. It’s here for a couple of reasons. #1, I it played to completion, never wishing once to explore (that’s why they made Tomb Raider
). #2 It is an import, imports have a knack of making me feel special. To think I’m one of a few Brits to have actually played this. #3 As a shooter – I kind of enjoyed it. The journey through the Martian Pyramid is intriguing, the difficulty well balanced and it doesn’t require a PhD to enjoy it. Simple shooting fun.
40. Strahl
Interactive anime. Unlike Space Ace and Dragons Lair there are arrows that tell you when to press Up or Down or whatever, The story is pretty good and the game has a certain charm. Ergo – it’s in at number 40. I liked it and I liked it because it felt like I was interacting with a 1990s Japanese anime story. Fist of the North Star, Vampire Hunter D, and Cyber City Oedo 808. It’s good stuff.
heh the list is getting worse not better .. lol

does Pyramid Intruder have another name in a different country or is it an original?
i traded off my tower because i had better things to do than figuring out how to play it
i like 4 of these 10
